A beautiful collector's item, this James Sadler Queen Elizabeth I teapot is shaped in the Minister design, and features Elizabeth and her court. Possibly the most influential monarch England has ever seen, Elizabeth did not marry - some say because she was married to her country. The defeat of the Spanish armada in 1588 associated Elizabeth with what is considered one of the greatest victories in English history. Elizabeth's reign is now known as the Elizabethan era, and even consisted of flourishing dramas by playwrights such as Shakespeare and Marlowe. Her 44 years at the throne delivered stability for her kingdom and helped form a sense of national identity.
Embellished with hand-painted gold detail, the beautiful colors of this teapot will make a wonderful addition to your collection.
Teapot measures 6" tall x 7" wide and holds 2 cups (about 20oz).
Not recommended for dishwasher or microwave use. |
