Tea Beverages

Following are delicious recipes for both hot and iced teas.    Each recipe calls for tea bags, however substituting loose tea  for the tea bags will make a much tastier beverage. Use 1 teaspoon loose tea per tea bag.

Cinnamon Orange Tea

8 cups water

1/2 cup sugar

4 whole cloves

1 cinnamon stick

2 tea bags of your favorite black tea - try Victorian Tea bags

1 cup orange juice

Combine water, sugar, cloves, and cinnamon in a saucepan.  Heat until the sugar dissolves, stirring constantly.  Bring to a boil.  Preheat a teapot and add teabags.  Pour the spice mixture over the tea bags.  Cover and steep 5 minutes.  Heat the orange juice until hot.  Strain the tea and add the orange juice.  Serve with lemon slices if desired.
